Step 1: Register interest to become a Member

Joining Empower is simple. Once you sign up and become a full member, you’ll unlock the ability to participate directly in shaping our policies and decisions. This isn’t just about having a say at election time—it’s about being part of the process, every step of the way. If you really care about something, then so do we. Use your voice and votes to shape the party direction and policies.

Step 2: Receive Your Vote Tokens

As a member, you’ll be given vote tokens you can use for every important matter. These tokens represent your power in the party. They aren’t money—they’re your influence. When important decisions come up, from shaping policies to guiding the direction of the party, you’ll use these tokens to cast your vote.

Step 3: Make You Voice Heard - Vote For What Matters

Here’s where it gets exciting. Once you've registerted as a full member, the route that Empower takes will be down to you. When a change to policy or priorities is proposed, you'll have the ability to vote for, or against it. Proposals that don't receive enough support won't be implemented - because who wants an unpopular policy to be followed up on, right? But, it's not just proposals, you as a member are important too, and you can propose a new policy or vote and invite others to join you.

No more signing petitions online in the hope that someone takes notice and gives it a gloss over at the next parliamentary debate. If you propose something and it gets enough support, then it automatically becomes the policy and direction of Empower. Welcome to the revolution in politics.

One Token, One Vote—At First:
For a single vote on a decision, you spend one vote token. Easy, right?
Want to Vote More on Something You Care About?
You can! But the more votes you allocate to a single issue, the more tokens it costs you. For example:
- Your first vote costs 1 token.
- A second vote on the same issue costs 4 tokens.
- A third vote costs 9 tokens.
- And so on.
The cost grows exponentially. This means you can put extra weight behind issues that really matter to you, but you’ll need to prioritise wisely.
Why Does My Next Vote Cost More?
It keeps things fair. No one person—or group of people—can dominate a vote by throwing all their tokens into one issue. Everyone has a chance to make their voice heard, but no one person or powerful donor can overpower others. It’s democracy at its best.

Step 4: Vote on What Matters Most

We believe that imopoortant decisions should always come back to the people. That’s why, as a member of Empower, you’ll help shape our key policies and priorities. When a big decision needs to be made, you’ll receive a notification through our secure voting platform.

From there, it’s up to you:

Use your tokens to vote on what matters most.
Decide where your voice can make the biggest impact.
Watch as your votes shape our policies and direction.
